Are you a non-unionized employee in Ontario? Did you just get a new job or have just been fired? Do you have questions regarding your employment contract? The Employment Standards Act governs the employer-employee relationship in Ontario.

The Ottawa Legal Information Centre offers a free 30-minute meeting with a lawyer in person or by telephone to all residents of Ontario. Information, referral and support services are offered in English and in French, on a confidential basis.

The Legal Information Centre can help you understand your rights and obligations so you can handle your legal problems relating to an employment contract, employment insurance, overtime or leave, resignation or dismissal, or any other issue pertaining to non-unionized work in Ontario.

  • Monday: 1 pm to 5 pm
  • Tuesday: 9 am to 12 pm | 1 pm to 5 pm
  • Wednesday: 9 am to 12 pm | 1 pm to 5 pm | 5 pm to 7 pm by appointment only.
  • Thursday: 9 am to 12 pm | 1 pm to 5 pm
  • Friday: 9 am to 12 pm
